The SCC Student Senate had their weekly meeting to address issues, including potholes and cafeteria napkins and silverware.

Also during the meeting, a one-time donation of $50 was given to the Surgical Technology program for a trip to annual event. This year’s trip will be to San Diego, California. “The event is life-changing in how they look into their profession or career,” said Surgical Technology instructor Cynthia Kreps.

A proposal was made to start a game night in the LRC for the Fall quarter, consisting of various types of board games. This event will be updated.

SCC Student Senate meetings are open to all students for voicing views.

“The meetings have a lot of participation,” said Activities Chair Jeanne Brooks. “It would be nice to have more departments participate and be involved.”

SCC Student Senate meetings are held every Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center.
