Four Southeast Community College volleyball players earned spots on the All-Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference team for the 2011 season.
SCC’s selections are Makayla Gardner, 6-2 freshman middle hitter from Wallace (Wallace High School),Bailie Muller, 5-11 freshman middle hitter from Gibbon (Minden High School),Katey Pflanz, 5-9 sophomore outside hitter from Plymouth (Tri County High School),and Taylor Reetz, 6-0 freshman middle hitter from Crete (Crete High School).
Conference champion Central Community College also placed four players on the team, followed by Mid-Plains North Platte with three and Mid-Plains McCook with one.
The Storm finished the season with a 14-23 record. Pflanz led the team in kills with 281, including a season-high 22 in a Sept. 30 match against North Platte. Muller was right behind with 279 kills, including a season-high 18 against Concordia University Junior Varsity on Sept. 10. Gardner was third on the team with 198 kills.
