On Saturday, Jan. 14, country super star Blake Shelton came to Lincoln with Justin Moore.
“The concert started off with a bang and everyone loved it,” said Austin Filli, a UNL student who attended the concert. Filli added that he loved the concert, but it certainly wasn’t perfect.
According to UNL student Hannah Bargman, “Justin Moore faked play the guitar for a while in the concert,” but added that she loved the concert and thought that all of the performers did a very good job.
Bargman added that the one thing she didn’t like was that Blake Shelton “seemed more into getting drinks than into playing music.”
While some may have found that funny, others would rather the performers be professional about playing music so they get what they paid for.
The concert was sold out, and fans were just waiting to get their chance to see the Country Music Association’s Male Vocalist of the Year for the last two years.
Many said the concert was very entertaining, but over with fast.
Student Matt Seems said, “I enjoyed the concert very much and would definitely go back again. Next time I would like to get better seats, though. All in all, this concert seemed to be a very well put together event.”
