Are you someone that enjoys learning about different cultures? The Multi Ethnic Student Organization (MESO) focuses on meeting people that come from all over the country.
“It is important for us to learn about different cultures,” says Margarita Feyerherm.
The MESO is an organization open to any student from Southeast Community College. International students and students with different ethnicities, “So anyone is invited,” Feyerherm said.
Currently, there are eight active members, four of which are international students.
MESO generally meets once a week, but sometimes only once every other week.
The international students are here for ten months, and they will be leaving this June.
To give them a farewell goodbye the MESO members went to Dairy Queen and talked about their overall experience.
“MESO provides students with a long lasting relationship with other students,” commented Feyerherm.
The international students provide members with a presentation about where they are from.
Among other activities, members go to the movies, bowl and volunteer.
