This year’s spring graduation for the SCC – Lincoln campus will be taking place on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. with State Senator Amanda McGill as the guest speaker.
There will be 350 students graduating this quarter and 229 have made plans to attend the ceremony.
Doors will open for guests one hour prior at 6 p.m.
For those who are graduating, caps and gowns may be picked up at the registration office during regular business hours. Caps and gowns are shipped folded, and it is recommended that they are pressed and tried on at home prior to graduation.
Graduates are to arrive between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. to check in at the registration office in the V section to receive a name card and chair number.
Everyone should be in his or her assigned chair no later than 6:45 p.m.
Those arriving after the graduates have entered the gym will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
This ceremony will last approximately one hour. The guest speaker will be District 26 Nebraska Sen. Amanda McGill of Lincoln.
For parents or guests attending, cameras are allowed during the ceremony and anyone is welcome to come to the front of the gym to take photos; however, everyone must stay behind the roped area.
There will also be a professional photographer that will be taking pictures. Proofs of the photos can be viewed online at www.Bobthepictureman.photoreflect.com and orders for photos must be placed before June 26.
