BEATRICE—The SCC Lady Storm Basketball team came home from North Platte with a big win on Friday, Dec. 9. This win raised SCC to 9-1 on the season.
“We started off strong in the first half,” said Head Coach Vicki Wooton.
SCC shot 46 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free throw line.
Southeast finished the first half with a score of 44-31 over North Platte. After picking up the defense in the second half, SCC won the game 86-69.
Leading SCC in scoring was freshman forward, Kindrea Poole of North Las Vegas, Nev., with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mesha Phillips, a freshman guard from North Las Vegas, Nev., gave the Storm 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
“This was a huge win on the road,” added Wooton.
Southeast’s next game is Monday, Dec. 12, at home against Midland JV at 7 p.m.
