LINCOLN – It’s time for the annual Food Drive at Southeast Community College.
From now through April students and staff can bring in nonperishable items to give to those in need.
Between Tuesday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Dec. 15, theLincoln Student Senate will be working tables for the food drive inside the gym during the book buyback.
During that time, if anyone brings in five nonperishable items, he or she will receive a raffle ticket that can be submitted to enter him or her into a drawing for nine credit hours of free tuition at SCC.
From Friday, Dec. 15, through April, this same food drive will continue and be sponsored by Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
In addition, thanks to an anonymous donor, for every pound of food collected, $1 will be donated to the cause.
