BEATRICE – On Thursday, Nov. 17, a beading workshop was held in the Student Center.
SCC’s Humanities Club, MESO and the Spanish Table sponsored this workshop to show SCC students some of what the organizations have to offer.
SCC student Jacie Ochsner of Hebron demonstrated how to create different beaded items in a short amount of time.
Ochsner sells the items she creates at Blue-J, a small shop she owns in Hebron.
Nancy Hagler-Vujovic, the Humanities Club Co-Chair for SCC said that more workshops will be held throughout the rest of the school year for SCC students.
The Humanities Club, MESO and the Spanish Table are free and open to SCC students. These organizations also sponsor field trips that students are able to attend.
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, there will be a Ceramics and Crafts Sale from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., in the Student Center. Proceeds from the sales will benefit all three of these organizations.
“The items sell fast,” commented Hagler-Vujovic, “so be sure to come in as soon as possible.”
