The Storm dropped their home opener to Cloud County, 76-64, Friday, Nov. 7, at the Truman Center.

Southeast could not get untracked offensively and struggled to box out the Division 1 Thunderbirds.

“SCC did the two things that we talked about that would hurt us,” Wooton said. “We gave up 26 offensive rebounds and turned the ball over 25 times…you can’t do that against Cloud and expect to win.”

“The good thing is those areas are correctable,” Wooton added.

SCC was led by Altez Davis and Rakeem Hicks with 12 points each. Noah Scott added 10.

Wooton said one area he was pleased with was free-throw shooting. The team shot 76 percent, with Hicks going 8-9 and Scott 10-13 from the line.

Ridell Camidge led the visitors with 18 points, followed by Creighton Brinker with 10.

The loss drops Southeast’s record to 3-1 on the season. They hit the road to take on Highland Community College, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
