Nicole Nolte was the Student of the Month for September, sponsored by Good Memorial Hospital in Beatrice.
With the award Nolte was awarded a twenty-five dollar chamber check that she can use anyway she wants to.
Nolte was born and raised in Fall City Pubic High School in 2001. She graduated from SCC in 2004 with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Medical Office Technology.
Throughout high school and college, she worked as a CNA at a nursing home. After graduation, she was employed at a pharmacy in Fall City.
In September of 2005, she was in a one vehicle accident in which she sustained two brain bleeds, a collapsed lung, three broken rids, a severed liver and five broken discs in her back.
Once Nolte regained her strength, she returned to work at the pharmacy, but she began to really miss the satisfaction that she got from taking care of someone of knowing that she impacted his or her life on some level.
In January of 2010, she took a job at Community Medical Center in Falls City. She started the LPN program at SCC in January 2011 and says she truly enjoys it.
She continues to work at CMC on the weekends and also at Mosaic. She plans to continue her education nursing and is hoping to be accepted into the RN program next year.
