BEATRICE– On Friday, March 16, the SCC softball team hosted McCook Community College for a double-header. Southeast and McCook split the set.
For the first game, freshman Jalyn Meyer of Lincoln, started as pitcher. SCC couldn’t hang on and lost the first 3-11.
Brittney Murdoch, a sophomore from Union, started the second game as pitcher. The Storm was able to come away with their second win of the season with a score of 10-9 over McCook.
On Saturday, March 24, SCC hosted North Platte Community College for a double-header. The Storm softball team wasn’t able to pull it together and suffered two losses of 2-8 and 0-7.
SCC’s next games will be held on Saturday, March 31 in Beatrice against the Kansas State Club team at 1 and 3 p.m.
