Storm men fall to Neosho CC in SCC Classic
November 21, 2014
The Storm could not overcome a sluggish offense as they fell to Division I Neosho Community College 73-61, Friday, Nov. 14, in the SCC Classic at the Truman Center.
SCC jumped out to a 36-28 halftime lead, but turned the ball over 20 times and shot only 22 percent from the field in the second half. They also missed 16 shots at the free throw line
In addition to the offensive troubles, Southeast had trouble containing center Joesph Aquil, who signed a letter of intent to play at Baylor next season. Aquil finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Londell Stephens led the Storm with 10 points, followed by Josh Stroud and Synder Cenecharles with eight points apiece
The loss dropped Southeast’s record to 3-3 on the season.
The Storm’s game with York JV on Nov. 15 was cancelled due to inclement weather.
