Southeast Community College’s Art Department is sponsoring an exhibition at the Beatrice Public Library in April.
The department, located on SCC’s Beatrice Campus, is sponsoring an exhibition featuring a sampling of works from local potters who have had an affiliation with SCC as an instructor or student.
The exhibition runs April 14-27 at the library, 100 N. 16th St., Beatrice. Visitors are asked to call the library at 402-228-3584 for gallery viewing hours.
The gallery will feature works by the following artists:
Nelson Dungan, art instructor, Beatrice High School. Dungan teaches ceramics at SCC during the Summer Quarter.
Patrick McKinney, former SCC student. McKinney owns and operates Flowing Stone Pottery in Beatrice.
Bill Robbins, former SCC Continuing Education Division ceramics instructor. Robbins owns and operates New Earth Clay Pottery and Art Gallery in Fairbury.
Debi Smith, instructor of art and art history at SCC’s Lincoln and Beatrice campuses. Smith also teaches ceramics and sculpture at SCC’s Beatrice Campus.
Nancy Hagler-Vujovic, instructor of art and art history at SCC’s Beatrice Campus.
The exhibition will feature both functional ware and ceramic sculpture.
