Brianna Grant poured in 17 points to help the Lady Storm overwhelm Southwestern Community College 61-39, Monday, Feb. 18, at the Truman Center.
Grant, who is averaging 11 points a game, also pulled down eight rebounds to help SCC win their fourth game in a row.
“(The end of the season) is a good time to have a run,” head coach Vicki Wooton said.
Southeast dominated the first half, outscoring SWCC 38-14.
SCC shot 40 percent for the game, while holding the visitors to 27 percent field goal shooting.
Cyneia Hunter continued her late season assault on the glass, pulling down nine rebounds. Toneisha Rainey ran the offense to a tune of nine assists.
“This was a good win to take on the road to play a tough McCook and North Platte team Friday (Feb.21) and Saturday (Feb.22),” Wooton said.
SCC can win the regular season Region championship with a win over both teams.
