BEATRICE- The Southeast Community College Lady Storm Basketball team raised their record to 18-3 and 4-1 in conference.
SCC was down by 3 at half time. The lady Storm played aggressive defense and out scored Brown Mackie by 10 for a 73-66 win over Brown Mackie on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
“We did a great job of game management down the stretch,” said head coach Vicki Wooton, “and we also made our free throws.”
Freshman Hannah Tatum played the best game of the season scoring 14 points and 5 rebounds.
Also scoring in double figures for the Storm was freshman forward Kindrea Poole of Las Vegas, Nev., with 19 points, 18 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals, and Monique Stevens, a sophomore from Wodonga, Victoria, Australia. Stevens had 16 points and 9 assists.
SCC’s next game is the last home game of the year; it will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, against McCook.
