La Paloma has been around for many years. I have gone there since I was little, when it was down in the Haymarket. It moved out to 120th and O Street and then to 8320 Northwoods Drive.
With each move, La Paloma has kept their customer service, family feel and food exceptional.
If anyone is looking for freshly made served warm flour tortilla chips as well as delicious salsa, this is the place to go.
On our most recent visit, my husband ordered a Rio Rancho Burrito, which he said was amazing; he said that the meat was seasoned perfectly.
I ordered fried tacos and a tostada, which were delicious.
We arrived a little before 8 p.m. last Friday and were seated right away, and we had our one-year-old son who they accommodated with crayons and a high chair.
La Paloma has a very open feel to it. The seating is arranged and makes the restaurant look very big and open, unlike many other Mexican restaurants that feel cramped and secluded.
La Paloma is clearly the best Mexican restaurant in the area.
