The Golden Retriever is a companion to a boy who grows up, gets a girlfriend and graduates college.
The German Shepherd is trained a part of the K-9 unit and friend to a lonely police officer.
The Corgi is partner to a young woman who falls in love and makes a family.
The Saint Bernard mix is a short-term friend to a woman then he runs away to a farm that is well-known to him.
This film has many twists and turns throughout to keep the audience wanting more and to keep emotions on edge.
Dennis Quaid (Ethan), Brit Robertson (Hannah) and Josh Gad (narrator) are just a few of the actors that bring this movie to its full nostalgic feeling.
The film ends with the dog finally finding its purpose in life and heart-warming farewell.
