BEATRICE- The Lady Storm ended the day with a win over McCook. SCC brought their record up to 15-2 and 3-0 in conference for the season.
“We started off slow and went 1-9 in free throws,” said Head Coach Vicki Wooton, “ The first half we picked up our defense, and in the second half we got some easy points at the basket.”
SCC went into half time with a score of 24-16 over McCook. Southeast finished strong, defeating McCook 53-31.
Leading SCC in Scoring was freshman forward, Kindrea Poole of North Las Vegas, Nev., with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Freshman MaKayla Gardner of Wallace, and Monique Stevens of Wodonga, Victoria, Australia each contributed 10 points for the Storm.
“ It was a good road win for us,” added Wooton.
SCC’s next game is Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. against Nebraska Wesleyan JV at Lincoln.
