BEATRICE—SCC Men’s Basketball team came up short on the road at North Plate on Friday, Dec. 9.
“We had North Platte down by 12 late in the first half,” said Head Coach Joel Wooton, “and turned the ball over four times, letting North Platte tie the score at the half time buzzer.”
At the half, the teams were tied at 36. In the second half, SCC had several offensive and defensive errors, and ended the game with a score of 71-76.
“(It was a) very depressing loss,” said Wooton.
This loss caused Southeast to fall to 10-3 on the season.
Freshman guard, Delquan Thomas, of Louisville, Ky., led the Storm with 17 points and10 rebounds.
“We gave a lot back of what we worked for to get to 10-1 to start the season,” added Wooton.
Southeast will face Southwestern in Creston, Iowa, on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 4 p.m.
