Storm Softball Drops Double Header

Storm softball dropped both ends of the double header played at McCook Community College on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Game 1 went 6 innings and ended 8-0 with Nicole Zelinski taking the loss. Her record is now 0-2.

Game 2 only went 5 innings with the final score 11-1.

Melissa Foley only lasted one inning going down 9-0. The Storm committed 8 errors.

Megan Hartman came in to the game in the second inning and was dominant, striking out 5, allowing one hit and two runs, only one of which was earned.

Head Coach Bob Ginsburg said, “Storm bats were active but unable to plate any runners until Megan Hartman was brought in by a single off the bat of Melissa Foley.”

The Storm next play the weekend of Feb. 28th/March 1 when they travel south to Allen Community College in Iola, Kan., on Saturday and then to Nevada, Mo., where they play Cottey College on Sunday the 1st of March.
