The Southeast Community College Men’s basketball team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 112-95 win at Union College Tuesday, Nov. 13th.
SCC led 59-41 at the half, and led by as many as 25 in the second half.
Head Coach Joel Wooton said the Storm “coasted the rest of the way” after leading by 25, and Union outscored SCC 54-53 in the second half.
Wooton said that Union was a “pesky” team and hard to play because they “really spread the floor.”
The coach added that SCC could have won by a much larger margin, but the Storm fouled too much and missed too many free throws.
Delquan Thomas led the Storm with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Trey Porter scored 22 and Tyrell Corlew added 17 to help SCC remain undefeated on the road this season.
The next game for SCC is Friday, Nov. 16, at Cloud County.
