BEATRICE – Lady Storm Basketball defeated Concordia JV on Wednesday, Nov. 9, to improve their record to 3-1.
SCC started off slow, but then picked up the pace and left the first half leading Concordia 45-36.
“We forced Concordia to 32 turnovers for the game,” said Head Coach Vicki Wooton. “SCC shot 40 percent from the floor.”
SCC ended the game with a score of 71-57.
Four freshmen led the Storm to their victory against Concordia.
Finishing the game with a double-double, Kindrea Poole of Las Vegas, Nev. had 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Giving the Storm 12 points and 6 steals for the game was Caitlin Madden of Lincoln.
Rachel Brewster of Fresno, Calif. gave the Storm 11 points and 4 rebounds.
With 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 steals, Mesha Phillips of Las Vegas, Nev. played great defense for the Storm.
SCC’s next game is Friday Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. against NCTA CC at Curtis.
