BEATRICE – Southeast Men’s Basketball team fell short on Tuesday, Jan. 17, against Northeast Community College at home. SCC’s record dropped to 12-5 for the season.
“We could never get over the hump,” said head coach Joel Wooton. “We would turn the ball over or miss a shot.”
At the half, SCC trailed Northeast 38-41. The second half, Southeast outscored Northeast 30-28, but weren’t able to take the lead and were defeated 68-69.
Sophomore center Torr Woodhouse of Cambridge, New Zealand, had a double-double on the night. He gave the Storm 16 points and 11 rebounds.
“We needed more consistent play out of our team offensively,” added Wooton.
The Storm’s next game is at home on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 4 p.m., against Southwestern.
