BEATRICE—The SCC Women’s Basketball team fell to 19-4 on the season after suffering a loss to North Central on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
“We didn’t guard, and we dealt with foul trouble throughout the game,” said head coach Joel Wooton.
SCC went into the half trailing North Central 32-39. The Lady Storm couldn’t recover in the second half and lost 64-89.
Sophomore Monique Stevens of Wodonga, Victoria, Australia, led the Storm with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
Mesha Phillips, a freshman guard from North Las Vegas, Nev., gave SCC 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals for the game.
SCC’s next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Hesston, KS.
