SCC’s Beatrice campus thrives over the years

One icon of Beatrice is that of higher education. Southeast Community College is home to more than 900 students seeking to further their education.

The campus was originally home to Pershing College, a private college built in 1966. Southeast Community College took over in the mid-1970s, starting with an agriculture program. By 1981, the college was fully operational in other programs.
