Ed Koster is the new vice president for technology/Milford Campus director at Southeast Community College.

Koster, a native of Wall Lake, Iowa, most recently served at Mount Marty College in Yankton, S.D., for nearly three years as its chief information officer. Prior to that he was the director of information systems at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa, a position he held for a little more than five years.

Koster holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State College and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northwest Missouri State University.

“I want to continue to provide high quality technology to support the overall needs of Southeast Community College,” Koster said. “We have some impressive technical programs and a welcoming and friendly staff.”

Koster said he was anxious to return to work at a community college.

“I really enjoy the community college’s focus on working with local economic development folks and how it gives people the opportunity to obtain a quality education at a reasonable cost,” he said.

Koster enjoys traveling, photography and golf. He and his wife, Shelly Stuart Koster, live in Seward.
