Lady Storm’s strong start not enough against Central

Lady Storms strong start not enough against Central

Bob Ginsburg, Head Coach

Storm Softball started strong against Central Community College behind a strong pitching performance by Megan Hartman and a grand slam by Megan to take a 5-0 lead going into the seventh inning.

Then, the Storm lost their momentum and the game, allowing Central to score seven runs due to errors, misplayed balls and a grand slam to end the game 7-5.

Game two started with a second pitch home run by Alexis Graewe to take a 1-0 lead, but sloppy defense, errors and poor at bats allowed Central to run rule the Storm in five innings 10-2. Melissa Foley took the loss.

Next, the Storm travels to Ellsworth Community College for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader with game one starting at 1 p.m.
